Kickball Tournament Rules
Bree's Fall Bash · October 3, 2026 · Weatherby Park, Canton, Georgia · Cherokee County. Every player should review these rules and complete the waiver before playing.
Teams
- Minimum 10 players; 8 on the field.
- At least 4 female players in the lineup.
- Maximum roster of 15.
- At least 2 female players on the field at all times.
- Waiver required for every player.
Game Play
- Games are 40 minutes long.
- Allow 5 minutes between games for teams to change fields.
- Three outs end each team’s turn.
- 10-run mercy rule after 5 innings.
Pitching & Kicking
- Pitches must be delivered underhand and roll smoothly toward home plate. Intentionally bouncing, skipping or excessively fast pitches are not allowed. A pitch that bounces more than six inches off the ground will be called a ball. The umpire’s decision is final.
- One foot completely behind home plate at contact.
- Bunting allowed, except with bases loaded.
- Three fouls equals an out.
Fielding
- Outfielders stay behind the base paths until the kick.
- For a male kicker, only the pitcher may charge; other infielders remain back.
- For a female kicker, all infielders remain behind the diagonal first-to-mound-to-third line until the kick.
- A female kicker may not be substituted out solely to avoid the female-kicker fielding rule.
- Pegging a runner is allowed below the shoulders. If a thrown ball hits a runner in the head or neck, the runner is safe and the ball is immediately dead. This applies even if the runner is sliding.
- Infield fly rule applies.
Base Running
- Runners must remain within the baseline.
- No sliding into first or home.
- Out by tag, force, or pegging below the shoulders.
Tie-Breaker
- The last kicker from the prior inning starts on second base.
- Continue until a winner is decided.
Sportsmanship
- This is a family charity event.
- Zero tolerance for fighting, aggressive language, or poor sportsmanship.
- Umpire decisions are final.
Format
- Pool play and single-elimination tournament played across two fields.
- Teams are seeded from pool results; win and advance, lose and you're out.
- Tournament organizers may adjust the schedule if necessary.
Rules may change at organizer discretion; updates will be shared with captains.
