A Day Built Around Bree

Our Dr. Seuss-themed race celebrates Breanna "Bree" Leigh Chadwick. Run or walk, in-person or virtual — every mile carries her story forward. Proceeds raise organ donation awareness and support the children, families, teachers, and community outreach Bree loved.

What to Expect

Packet pickup opens at 7:30 AM, the memorial presentation begins at 8:30 AM, and the miles follow from there.

Race Details

Seussville Fun

A few whimsical characters may make appearances along the way. Free event photography is available for participants, and costumes are encouraged but never required — there will even be a prize for a favorite costume.

Awards & Shirts

  • Professionally timed but not chip timed — finish cards required.
  • Awards: overall male/female, masters male/female, and top three male/female in age groups 10 and under, 11–14, 15–19, then five-year groups through 70+.
  • Registered participants age 10 and under receive a free Dr. Seuss book.
  • Race shirt guaranteed when registered by February 12, 2027; afterward while supplies last.

Virtual 5K

  • Complete your 3.1 miles anywhere.
  • Shirt included; register by February 12 for size guarantee.
  • Shipping within the continental US for an additional charge.

Race Policies

Weather & Refund Policy

Rain or shine. No refunds, deferments, or transfers. Changes or cancellations due to unsafe conditions do not generate refunds. No-show swag is forfeited and cannot be held or shipped.

  • Online registration closes at 6:00 PM on Friday, March 5, 2027.
  • Virtual participants must submit their time by 11:59 PM on March 6, 2027.
  • Virtual participants are not eligible for timed awards.
